Re:      COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Dear Patients,

After careful consideration, beginning March 23, 2020, the Douglas County Health Department will only provide express testing and STD treatments to implement social distancing as suggested by our Health Director and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  We will be providing STD treatment.  We are suspending full STD services (i.e. HIV testing, syphilis testing, pelvic exams) for the next two weeks.  Beginning March 23, 2020, all immunization services will be suspended for two weeks. We will assess the public health climate at two weeks, and will communicate any further change in services moving forward.  We are asking patients to call the STD clinic at 402-444-7112 option 2 if they have STD concerns or questions regarding the signs or symptoms of an STD or general STD needs.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to providing our normal services soon.

If you think you have COVID-19 (coronavirus) or have been exposed to COVID-19 (coronavirus) and develop a fever and symptoms, such as a cough or difficulty breathing, call your doctor for medical advice.  If you do not have a doctor, please feel free to contact One World Community Health Center at 402-734-4110 or Charles Drew Health Center at 402-451-3553 and they can assist you.

We ask for your full cooperation and appreciate your patience during these unprecedented times.  If you have questions, please ask a staff member or contact Divonica Kight, RN Clinic Supervisor at 402-444-3588.  Our mission is always To Protect, Promote, and Prioritize the Health of our Entire Community.

Divonica M. Kight, RN MS
