Program Information

Things to Remember as a WIC Participant

YOU MUST NOT:

  1. Participate in both the WIC Program and the Commodity Supplemental Food Program at the same time.

  2. Alter WIC checks in any way.

  3. Use WIC checks before the first date to use or after the last date to use.

  4. Use WIC checks reported lost or stolen without notifying your WIC office.

  5. Exchange WIC food unauthorized foods, cash or credit

  6. Use or threaten to use physical abuse toward clinic or vendor staff or other participants.

  7. Use verbal abuse toward clinic or vendor staff or other participants.

If you do not follow these guidelines you may receive sanction points. The points are addedd together each time a rule is broken and stay on your WIC record for a set time period. Receiving large numbers of sanction points may result in suspension from the WIC program. You will be notified of any sanction points you may receive.
